  In this course students will learn techniques employed by security professionals to highlight issues with network security and identify the security measures they need to put in place to protect digital assets. Students will learn to check for vulnerabilities in a system so they can be addressed before malicious actors learn of and exploit them. Topics will include: planning penetration testing engagements, identifying threats and threat agents, identifying assets and determining risk. Students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to engage in assessing systems and networks and reporting their findings to stakeholders.
