    MIL 402 is an academically challenging course where you will develop knowledge, skills, and abilities required of junior officers pertaining to the Army in Unified Land Operations and Company Grade Officer roles and responsibilities. This course includes reading assignments, homework assignments, small group assignments, briefings, case studies, practical exercises, a mid-term exam, and an Oral Practicum as the final exam. The Oral Practicum explores your knowledge of how you will be prepared for the 20 Army Warfighting Challenges (AWFC) covered throughout the ROTC Advanced Course. Successful completion of this course will assist in preparing you for your BOLC B course and is a mandatory requirement for commissioning. Includes a lab per week overseeing MSL III lesson facilitation and supervised by Cadre. This course may not be used to complete a Kutztown University degree requirement.

    Basic Military Science leadership lab. Exposes student to a variety of opportunities for development both as an individual and as a member of a small group. Adventure/"hands on" type activities emphasized. One-two hour period per week, location dictated by type activity being conducted. Required enrollment for students in any one/combination of the following courses: MIL 013, 014, 021, 022. This course may not be used to complete a Kutztown University degree requirement.

    This course explores the architectural and cultural contributions of groups who have inhabited the Iberian Peninsula. Special attention will be focused on these civilizations' contributions along the various pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela including the French Way, Northern Way, Primitive Way and/or Portuguese Way.

    This course develops the praxis of entrepreneurship for translators, interpreters or other language professionals who wish to start their own freelance business or translation agency/company. Topics include: managing the start-up phase; designing a plan to market the services through traditional methods as well as social media; cost and product analysis to choose the appropriate equipment for the business; and financial planning such as setting rates, writing contracts, planning for taxes and handling payments. Taught in English.

    This course is designed for the student wishing to spend an extended period of time abroad or at an approved domestic agency/organization in either an internship situation or non-traditional studies. Students must demonstrate that the internship or non-traditional program will be conducted in the modern language of study and will be adequately supervised. Other requirements may need to be met. Open to Majors and Minors with permission of the department chairperson.
