This course is intended to prepare students with the necessary background of function manipulation for the Calculus sequence. Discussion of functions includes transformations of functions, inverse functions; algebraic functions (including power functions, radical functions, polynomial functions, and rational functions); exponential functions, logarithmic functions; trigonometric functions, and inverse trigonometric functions. Additional topics include systems of equations, analytic geometry, and triangle trigonometry. Prerequisite(s): MTH 100/100A with a C or better, or Placement.
