  This course is an introduction to basic research and evaluation skills. Students will learn to conduct research and to critically analyze research published in recreation and leisure studies. Literature reviews, assessment techniques, descriptive research methods, sampling, data analysis, scales of measurement, survey development and basic statistics will be presented.
