This course provides students with the opportunity to view school public relations and marketing from the point of view of the school district leader, through practical, real life experiences. Effective district level leaders use excellent communication and develop positive community relations. It requires networking, knowledge, the ability to market your district, and the ability to establish credibility within and outside the school community. This course will enable students to learn the theory and practical application of school and community relations and marketing with a focus on fiscal responsibility. All candidates will be required to complete field work/experiences that are designed to reinforce and extend the learning objectives of the course.
