  This sculpture course will provide the knowledge to cast non-ferrous metals using different techniques through the applications of foundry process. The student will develop an understanding of four different types of mold making methods for casting metal. This includes styro-burnouts, bonded sand, traditional investment and ceramic shell molds applications. In conjunction to learning the specifics to each method, the student will acquire knowledge of mold making, foundry set-up to pour, safety procedures, casting and clean-up and finishing.

Character archetypes will be extensively studied through the internal analysis and biographical history that will convey the final design for Animation/Cinema production. Character design will be a main component within the narrative contents of various film genres.
