Provides an in-depth review of theoretical, scientific, and applied perspectives of exercise testing and prescription for special populations, including but not limited to children, older adults, pregnant women, those with common chronic diseases, and individuals with physical and/or intellectual disability. For each population, content will include their unique exercise physiology, disease risk and prevalence, known benefits of exercise, and precautions for exercise performance. Practical experience in modified physical fitness testing and programming for these individuals will be incorporated.
