Current issues including violence and mental illness, mental illness stigma, dual diagnosis, civil commitments, law enforcement response to mental illness, jail processing of persons with mental illness, mental health courts, and mental illness in prison populations will be examined. Also explored are efforts to support offenders with psychiatric comorbidity during reentry.
