Develops student understanding of culture and global perspectives through the context of education. Global views on early education - its purpose, curriculum/instruction, and role of the teacher/learner and society are examined and compared. Students critically reflect on how their cultural backgrounds influence their world-view, including personal and professional perspectives that shape their beliefs/values, decision-making/problem-solving, expectations, and with strategies for achieving equity for PK-Grade 4 learners.
